Where Africa meets Berea.
We are the African Students Association, a student body devoted to the propagation of academic skill, the discussion of current issues, and the growth of leadership, unity, and belonging on Berea's campus.
A voice, a home, and a family.
The African Students Association exists to represent and advance our collective cause on campus, to share the wealth and greatness of Africa, and to experience the richness of the wider Berea community in return.
We open our doors to a multicultural society, devoted to peace and unity. Membership is open to all, students, faculty, and staff, with no discrimination on any basis, in the spirit of the First Amendment and universal human rights.
Above all, we are a family. Whether you are far from home or simply curious about the continent, there is a place for you here.
Four kinds of awareness.
More than a club
Belonging

Growth
Leadership roles, networking, and a referral service to help you thrive academically and beyond.
Culture
Food, music, film, and celebration all year, the continent, brought to Kentucky.
